The truth is out there

Since Grade School, I have already been fascinated with things that science cannot easily explain. During those times, the only way you can read about these was if you go to the library, or if you have friends who have encyclopedias on the stuff. Fascinating!

Thanks to the internet, such information is now more accessible and updated! So, what exactly are these "stuff" about?

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) - including abductions, cattle mutilation, bits of alien things injected into people. Though when I stare at the skies and trace out the big dipper (half-hoping that I see something extraordinary), abduction is the furthest thing from my mind.

The website UFO Evidence has lots of photos and narrations of UFO sightings. While there are photos that are documented as fake, there are still lots that have been left unexplained.

Cattle mutilation is likewise a curiosity. Cuts are made with laser-like precision. Why want animal insides and leave the beef? If the aliens were so intelligent, couldn't they have taken the whole cow with them instead, or chopped up the meat using their laser beam into tenderloin sizes? Or will this be considered double-dead? Hmmm. Drop by Crystalinks' Cattle Mutilation page for a sample. (photo above credited to them)

Religious implications
Did you know that even in rennaisance paintings, there are indications of UFO existence. It is even deduced that the star which shone on Jesus when He was born came from an alien spacecraft. Of course, that kind of thinking will lead you to the obvious line of thought about the origin of Jesus. Out of this world, isn't it?

Or even before that, when the Virgin Mary received news of important role of becoming the mother of the Saviour of mankind, a UFO-like structure was visible.

In other paintings, the objects depicted are look so much like saucers floating about with lights emitting from them.

I learned about the above things way back in college (the late 90s). The SLU library had this huge book about UFOs in the Reference section, along with lots of nice books on paintings.

Just recently, I read about Christian iconology that refute the apparent presence of UFOs in these paintings. Very intriguing and illuminating! After more than 20 years, I realize that what I read in those books years ago were nothing more than flights of fancy! Alas! Read about this on Art and UFO.

Oh, before I forget. The UFO photo at the start of this post is a fake. It was very famous way back when due to the detail of the ship. Very rare in UFO photos. (photo credit: ufosrus)

Hmmm... I was supposed to write about all of the weird things that fascinate me as a kid and until now. But this UFO topic alone is worth an entire post by itself!

There are loads of other sites waiting to be discovered in the Net. A simple Google search will reveal lots of other references.

I believe that something is out there, watching us. And it's not just the Star Wars / Star Trek / ET / Close Encounters movie fan in me that's talking.

What about you?

  1. the latest news was about a planet orbiting in another star.

so that shows us that there may be galaxy other than we claim ours.

And there may be creatures living and breathing other than Earth's inhabitants.

UFO's are a hoax. Don't believe in them, never! It's pretty much a business, where some idiots make money (so much money), feeding the fickle minds of other human beings into believing they exist. There's no such thing. Books and movies are excellent examples of how they siphon our hard earned money from. Then again, to each his own. Feed your own fancy. Cheers and goodhealth....

  3. I've always believed that given the immensity of the universe... we can't possibly be the only intelligent creatures in it all. I doubt if they look like the green martians of popular culture... I think they would most likely look like us.

There may not be substantial proof that they exist... but there isn't evidence of them not existing either.

  4. The real mystery is where did "it" all begin? When did "everything" start? If God created matter and life, when and how did God get created? How could there be anything at all? Why are we here? If you think about it, that is the REAL mystery. Compared to those questions, UFO's and extraterrestrials, that's all minor bunk.

America's expensive Harriers keep on crashing despite sophisticated technology that would make them fly better than flying-saucers. I have yet to see "a saucer" crash land on earth, but then again, there will never be, coz it's a cruel prank...
    Cheers regardless...

  6. What do you think of organizing a photo shoot tracking the UFO's in the Philippines? ;-)

    Nice new blog design!

  7. Cathy: Yes, that is indeed a possibility. Ours is only one of so many other galaxies that may be existing! Imagine that.

trublue: until there's no proof that they don't exist, then I'll have a go at what our planet's telescopes and interplanetary missions tell us

Alternati: yeah. I wonder if something substantiating their existence will happen in my lifetime...

Phil: when and how did God get created? He is said to be the Alpha and the Omega. There is no beginning and no End to Him.

Sidney: The thing that's wierd in UFO sightings in the Philippines, is that there's hardly any photo evidence! Thanks for the compliments.

Pag tinatanong ako ni Justin ko about UFO, walang katapusan yun. Pag kasi nakita sa book akala nila lahat totoo.

  12. "Elementary my dear Watson." Yan ang pasok ni Sherlock, right. Kidding aside, na intriga rin ako sa UFOs. What if nga naman.

Alam mo ba na Nazis daw ang nagsimula ng flying saucers dito sa mundo natin? That ang objective nila is to travel outer space to another intelligent world. Nakita ko yan sa youtube. Unfortunately, inalis nila, but maybe it's on again. You might give it a try, if you have not done so yet.

  13. Ann: Ganun rin ako noon. Medyo paranoid. Especially dun sa religious overtures sa UFOs.

Kulas: salamat sa pagdalaw sa blog ko! Mga Nazi? Sayang, blocked ang youtube sa opis namin.

  14. I just saw this in Yahoo's People on the web. It's about John Greenewald, Jr. who documents the UFO phenomenon through his site The Black Vault.

    Hello. . .

I'm just a bit curious about the "UFO" phenomenon in the Philippines. . . so I'd like to know the following:

    1. How many of the Philippine population BELIEVE in the physical reality of "UFOs"? . .

    2. How many of you have had your own "ufo sighting experience?"

I'm currently doing research on UFO sighting reports/incidents in the PHILIPPINES.

    Thank you for sharing.
