Nearly 5 years after it was announced that The Hobbit was getting the silver screen treatment, we finally have a sneak preview through this movie trailer.
I read The Hobbit many years ago, and though I skipped a number of pages where the characters break into song, I found the story involving and a superb adventure in itself! In fact it made me pick up the first book of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, of which I managed to read only the first few chapters before wandering off to something else. I think it's the manner of writing which I was not accustomed to that led me astray. Anyhow, I am thankful that the screen treatment of Lord of the Rings was hailed as a success and it was from there that I was able to get my education on Frodo's adventures. Needless to say, I am also anticipating the thrill of adventure with the Hobbit, set for release December of next year!
